Welcome to The Old Gregg School Community and Recreation Center

A short drive from State College, The Old Gregg School Community & Recreation Center (OGS) is regarded locally as a treasure in the heart of Penns Valley. Located just off scenic PA route 45, at the Spring Mills exit, the historical landmark building and grounds are easy to spot at the corner of School Street and West Firehall Road.
"In the tradition of recycle and reuse, Penns Valley recently took this idea to new levels when the school district decided to close one of its elementary schools. The Old Gregg School is a building that has been repurposed to once again serve the Penns Valley community. It is now home to a daycare center, a free library, office space for start up businesses, athletic recreation and classes, and, in the winter months, a farmer's market. The logo pictured above shows the spirit of OGS with its branches full and growing, while its roots are deep." - By Cyndy Engle of Millhein
The beloved "Old Gregg School" has been a bustling with activity community & recreation center since 2006. It serves as a local non-profit venue, offering many different community services and activities for all ages. Some of these opportunities are available at no cost, while others have a nominal fee associated with them.
Home to The Old Gregg School "Producers Only" Farmers Market from October through May, indoor gymnasium guest space is available during market hours (10 am - 1 pm) for board approved non-profit fundraisers, chef demos, artists, craftsmen, musicians and other performers.
Join us as we celebrate its past, present and future ... and ALL that OGS offers!
